Millard Hastay was born in Montana, Sep. 8, 1916. He graduated from high school at Portland, Oregon, in 1934. He completed undergraduate education at Reed College in 1941. His graduate education was at Stanford University and at Columbia University. He received the Ph.D. degree from Columbia in 1958. From 1946 to 1958 he worked as an economics researcher with the National Bureau of Economic Research in New York. He also taught economics at the City College of New York from 1954 to 1...
